Managing Dangers – Livestock, Machinery & Buildings (Essential Safety for All)
On completion of the course, farmers will be able to:
- Recognise the dangers and reduce risks when handling livestock.
- Recognise the dangers and reduce risks when working with tractors and machinery.
- Recognise the dangers and reduce risks when working with Quad bikes (All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs)).
- Identify relevant training to address an area of risk on the farm for Livestock, Tractors, Machinery and Buildings
A CPD course of benefit to everyone living and working on the farm. This course aims to help all generations living and working on a farm who interact with the dangers associated with livestock, machinery/vehicles and the maintenance of farm buildings on a daily basis.
Course Content
In this course, we look at these common dangers from the everyday perspective of farmers going about their daily work throughout Ireland.
The course consists of units with video content and engaging, interactive activities to be completed throughout. Participants will have the opportunity to give feedback throughout the course.
